This weekend, the Ravens will face off against the Chicago Bears in Baltimore. The matchup, although appearing lackluster, is a very important game for the Ravens. The Ravens are looking to continue their streak of solid play, and get back on track, with a win over the Bears. A victory over the Chicago Bears would be a major step forward towards the playoffs for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are going to be missing a few key pieces of the team this Sunday. Here are the injury statuses of Ravens players, heading into Week 6 of the NFL Season.

  • RB Terrance West – OUT
  • G Matt Skura – OUT
  • DT Brandon Williams – Doubtful
  • LB Tim Williams – Doubtful
  • DT Carl Davis – Questionable
  • CB Jaylen Hill – Questionable
  • DB Anthony Levine – Questionable
  • WR Jeremy Maclin – Questionable
  • WR Breshad Perriman – Questionable
  • CB Jimmy Smith – Questionable
  • TE Maxx Williams – Questionable

The most notable of these injuries are Terrance West, Brandon Williams, Jeremy Maclin, Breshad Perriman, and Jimmy Smith. Terrance West is Baltimore’s starting running back. He injured his calf in last Sunday’s win over the Raiders. His absence won’t be too damaging to the Ravens, however. The other running backs, Buck Allen, and Alex Collins played very well last Sunday when relieving West’s duties. Brandon Williams has missed all the games since Week 3 of the season. The Ravens have missed his presence, as the front line’s run stuffing abilities have taken a hit. The Ravens defense has not been as good as it was with Williams on the field. Jeremy Maclin and Breshad Perriman are huge parts of the Ravens passing attack. Jeremy Maclin has become one of Joe Flacco’s most reliable targets, and missing him could hurt the passing offense. Breshad Perriman is looking to finally break out as the wide receiver the Ravens drafted him to be. However, an injury would further keep him back from this goal. Finally, Jimmy Smith is the Ravens’ best cornerback. However, he has been limited in recent weeks, with a sore Achilles. The Ravens have depth at cornerback though, and the secondary has been able to hold up well without him.
