I know it is Christmas Eve, and you are a little busy, but I have a last minute request. I have been good all year. I watched the Ravens play in both good and bad games. I attended all of the home games, rain or shine, warm or cold. I watched the Ravens win, and I watched the Ravens lose. I rooted for the team at all points, even when they made decisions I did not agree with. I even stayed optimistic when the Ravens were losing. I know it may be an out of the ordinary request, but Santa, all I want for Christmas is a playoff berth.
I think that the Ravens Flock deserves it this year. I was good all year, but the Flock was even better than me. They traveled to games, they rallied support, and they constantly fought to give their Ravens the recognition they deserve. It has been four years, Santa, since the Ravens made the playoffs, and I think they deserve it. They have worked so hard this year, and never gave up. Through the trials and tribulations, the Ravens kept pushing.
In 2015 the Ravens missed the playoffs after a dreadful season. Baltimore lost so many players to injuries, I did not know half of the starting lineup. In 2016, you were naughty and brought a present to the Steelers. On Christmas day, they beat us to win the division and kick us out of the playoffs. Last year, on New Year’s Eve, the Bengals beat us on a last second play to kick us out again. I hope this year is different, Santa.
I think the Ravens deserve a Christmas present for once. I am not asking for much. I am not asking for a Super Bowl win, or even a playoff win. All I want for Christmas is for my Ravens, our Ravens, to be in the playoffs.
