The Ravens are expected to sign safety Tony Jefferson from the Cardinals. Jefferson was pursued by both the Ravens and the division rival Browns, and it was reported that the Browns were offering more money. Jefferson decided to go with the Ravens, however. Now for two straight seasons, the Ravens land a top free agent safety, as last year they signed Eric Weddle.

With the signing of Jefferson, this puts the future of longtime Raven Lardarius Webb into question. Webb was on the Super Bowl winning team, and recently switched from CB to safety. The Ravens have two real options with Webb, he either has to take a pay cut and switch back to CB, or the Ravens will need to part ways with him. If the Ravens cut Webb, it will add $5 million in cap space.
