This week was a very slow news week for the Baltimore Ravens. Since the conclusion of minicamp, not much has actually happened. However, there have been a couple of stories which have developed since then. We have also taken an in-depth look at the AFC North, and all of the Ravens’ opponents within it. In those analysis pieces, we examined each team’s strengths and weaknesses, along with their chances of making the playoffs. Now without further ado, let’s get into this week’s edition of the Ravens Weekly Roundup!

Monday, June 19, 2017 – WR Eric Decker Signs with the Titans (Article)

Former Jets wide receiver Eric Decker was taken off the market on Monday, after signing with the Tennesse Titans. The Ravens had some reported interest in Decker, however, that was before they signed wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. With Decker off the market, the Ravens are probably done shopping around for wide receivers. However, there are other free agents still currently on the market, which the Baltimore Ravens may decide to pursue. The Ravens will probably go after offensive linemen, either Ryan Clady, Austin Pasztor, or Nick Mangold.

Opinion Pieces

This week, we published four articles on the AFC North. Our first article, AFC North Breakdown Overview, was an overview of the entire AFC North landscape, specifically the opponents of the Ravens. We evaluated the Cleveland Browns in the AFC North Breakdown: The Cleveland Browns article. We predicted that the Cleveland Browns will miss the playoffs, with a record of either 3-13, 6-10, or somewhere in between. We evaluated the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North Breakdown: The Cincinnati Bengals article. We predicted that the Bengals will miss the playoffs, finishing third in the division. We also reviewed the Pittsburgh Steelers, in the AFC North Breakdown: The Pittsburgh Steelers article. We predicted that the Steelers will make the playoffs, either coming in first or second in the division, depending on how the Ravens perform this season.

That’s all for this week’s edition of the Ravens Weekly Roundup, check in every Sunday at 1 PM Eastern Time for a full recap of news and analysis for the Baltimore Ravens.
