11:54 – Looks like my thoughts on N’Keal Harry were just validated by Bill Belichick, as the Patriots just closed the first round by drafting him. That’s all for tonight, make sure to check back tomorrow for rounds 2-3, where the Ravens will be expected to trade into the 2nd round and have a pick in the third as well!

11:46 – The Falcons just traded up to the Rams spot at 31. They selected Kaleb McGary, tackle from Washington. Don’t know much about him as I did not focus on tackles this year.

11:43 – The Giants trade back into the first round to get Deandre Baker, cornerback, Georgia. I thought they would trade in for Jawaan Taylor, but they go with a defensive back instead.

11:41 – The Seahawks take LJ Collier, edge rusher from TCU. Giants are back in the first round. They traded with Seattle at pick 30. The Giants gave up a second-round pick, and two later round picks.

11:26 – Jerry Tillery, DT of Notre Dame goes to the Chargers. Solid pick.

11:19 – Another Mississippi State prospect off the board, safety Jonathan Abram goes to the Raiders.

11:13 – Washington Redskins select Montez Sweat, edge rusher from Mississippi state. I was not high on him this year, was raw on the tape, but he has potential.

11:07 – The Ravens selected Marquise Brown, wide receiver, Oklahoma. He’s Antonio Brown’s cousin. This one did not shock me, but I thought Baltimore would attempt to trade back again. I would imagine they tried to, but they may not have had anyone to trade with. Writeup coming…

10:56 – The Oakland Raiders surprise nobody and take Alabama running back, Josh Jacobs. Marshawn Lynch told the Raiders he was retiring again, and now the Raiders have a replacement. The Ravens are back on the clock.

10:49 – Houston takes Tytus Howard, Alabama State tackle at 23. Don’t know enough about him to make many comments. I stayed away from pure tackles this year because Baltimore doesn’t need one.

10:43 – Eagles take OT Andre Dillard, Washington State. Thought that the Chargers would trade with the Ravens to get him, but instead, it’s the Eagles.

10:39 – Darnell Savage, Maryland safety is taken by Green Bay. Baltimore traded down with the Eagles. The Ravens will receive the Eagles 25th overall pick, 4th rounder – 127, and sixth rounder – 197 in exchange for the 22nd pick.

10:34 – Green Bay just traded up, exchanging picks with Seattle. Let’s see who they want. Could this be a QB?

10:30 – The Broncos select tight end, Noah Fant. Fant will be paired up with former Ravens quarterback, Joe Flacco, who loves tight ends. Great selection by Denver, they want to give Flacco the best chance to win now.

10:23 – Tennessee takes Jeffrey Simmons, the Mississippi State defensive end. He has a torn ACL and had off the field issues before enrolling at Mississippi State. It’s a risk for sure, but Tennessee needs to take some risks.

10:16 – The Vikings take Garrett Bradbury, interior offensive lineman/center. Thought the Ravens could take him, but now he’s off the board. This just further solidifies my position that Baltimore should trade back.

10:13 – The Giants get Dexter Lawrence with their second first-round pick. The Clemson defensive tackle was among the best defensive linemen of the class. This a good pick, but will be overshadowed by the decision to take Daniel Jones at 6.

10:04 – The Carolina Panthers snag Brian Burns, edge rusher from Florida State. Thought Baltimore might want him, but now he’s gone. We will see what happens as we are getting closer and closer to Baltimore’s pick now…

9:58 – Dwane Haskins is selected by the Washington Redskins at 15. Nothing much to say about this other than he’s a steal here and they got the best quarterback in the class. Nice move by Washington.

9:52 – Chris Lindstrom, the guard from Boston College, is a major surprise at pick 14. Thought he was a high second rounder, but here he is being picked by the Falcons. Baltimore will inevitably have options now, as the draft shakeup will ensure guys like Montez Sweat, DK Metcalf, Garrett Bradbury, Erik McCoy, and/or AJ Brown could be there by the time the Ravens are on the clock.

9:47 – The Dolphins grabbed Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson. I thought that Miami could select Haskins, but it looks like they are not so worried about quarterback right now.

9:39 – The Green Bay Packers add another pass rusher after getting former Raven Za’Darius Smith. They get the local product, Michigan’s Rashan Gary. Very aggressive pass rusher and another is off the board that the Ravens could have taken.

9:34 – The Cincinnati Bengals selected Alabama OT Jonah Williams. He’s the best of the class in my opinion, but many thought he could transition to guard. I would imagine he stays at tackle in Cincinnati. We are about 10 picks away from Baltimore being on the clock.

9:28 – The Pittsburgh Steelers do, in fact, draft Devin Bush.

9:26 – Trade alert! The Steelers move up in a trade with the Broncos. I think they’re going for ILB Devin Bush from Michigan.

9:20 – Bills select Ed Oliver at 9. They were looking to trade up to the top 5 to get him, but instead, he falls to them at 9. An awesome steal for them.

9:15 – TJ Hockenson at 8 to the Lions. I feel like they reached a bit, but he’s still a good pick. Lions needed some weapons after losing TE Eric Ebron and trading WR Golden Tate. This will give Stafford a great target, and one who can block in the running game too.

9:08 – The Jaguars get Josh Allen to replace Dante Fowler. Awesome pick, he should not have been available.

9:03 – Giants take Daniel Jones to be the future of the franchise at 6 overall. BUT he would have been there at 17, which they have too. Oh Dave Gettleman…

8:57 – Tampa Bay selects the replacement for Kwon Alexander in ILB Devin White. Solid pick, but because of the shenanigans in the top 5, the Giants now can choose between Ed Oliver, Josh Allen, or a quarterback.

8:49 – Ferrell at FOUR?!?! Mike Mayock is starting out BOLDLY! Oakland with a risky pick, but an interesting one.

8:39 – The Jets take Quinnen Williams. Great move. Awesome player, the generational talent on the inside. Hold down that line.

8:30 – The 49ers take Nick Bosa. Solid move, the best player of the draft. 49ers got a steal.

8:25 – Kyler Murray to the Cardinals. Rest in peace Josh Rosen’s Cardinals career. Dumb move by Arizona, other teams will reap the reward of an early run on QBs.

8:23 – The pick is in!

8:13 – Awesome prize to give away, 100 years of season tickets to a Giants fan. Wow. Cardinals are now officially on the clock. I mocked Nick Bosa to them, let’s see what they do.

8:09 – BOOOOOO!

8:00 – HERE WE GO!

7:56 – Almost there! Cardinals should do the smart thing and draft Nick Bosa or Quinnen Williams!

7:35 – Thirty minutes out and an audio tape of Tyreek Hill, accused of domestic violence, is released by a local Kansas City station. I won’t go into it here, but if you feel like you can get through it, it’s not pleasant to listen to. I’d be surprised if he plays another down in the NFL.

7:11 – Looks like Dabo showed up! Should be a big night for his Clemson boys!

6:30 PM – Ladies and gentlemen, let’s get ready to draft! The most exciting day of the year is here, and we are just a mere hour and a half before we know whether or not Kyler Murray goes number one to the Cardinals! Current rumors are that the Jets want to trade down, and the Bills may be partners. Cardinals are also reportedly telling Nick Bosa, Quinnen Williams, and Kyler Murray that any of them could be the first overall pick. Right now, no one knows anything!
